Doberge Cakes

In 1946 Beulah Ledner, the creator of the doberge cake, sold her secret recipe to Gambino’s bakery, and we’ve been loyal to it ever since. The only bakery in town with access to the original recipe, we make our cakes entirely by hand. The Gambino’s doberge cake consists of six layers of moist buttermilk cake separated by our delicate custard filling and frosted entirely in buttercream and rich fondant icing. We take the time to make every ingredient by scratch, including the custard filling for every cake.
